Tuesday Tips!

Do you need quiet when you write? Or maybe you’re looking to spruce up your office…

Here’s a few fun tips and ideas to make your writing nook the “in” place to get things done!

  1. Use magazine holders to organize your papers!  By using these in your system of organization, you can clear up the clutter around you!  This will allow those amazing thoughts to get out instead of getting lost in the clutter!
  2.   Hang up a dry erase board or two so you can plot out your next story! When using one of these, you can let your thinking flow onto the board and have time to plot, draw creatively and think! Plus it gets you up and out of that office chair for a bit! 🙂
  3.  Use a color coding system for filing so you know what to work on and when!  This also helps when you are planning your daily activities… ie, Mondays are red, Tuesdays you use the blue folder…etc.
  4. Have comfortable chair!  There’s nothing worse than trying to work for an extended amount of time and having to deal with the inevitable back pain later!
  5.   And our last tip of the day… Keep things colorful and neat!  There’s nothing wrong with sprucing up your office for productivity!  Creative sayings also spawn creativity. Let yourself flow into the room, but just be sure to keep things neat! Monday Book Review: Jessica Scott, “It’s Always been You”…

_the only thing riskier than mixing business with pleasure is enjoying it...“Jessica Scott is an exciting new voice in romantic fiction who bursts upon the scene with an unputdownable debut novel!”
–Robyn Carr, New York Times bestselling author on Because of YouShe plays by the rules . . .

Captain Ben Teague is many things: a tough soldier, a loyal friend, and a bona fide smart-ass. He doesn’t have much tolerance for BS, which is why he’s mad as hell when a trusted colleague and mentor is brought up on charges that can’t possibly be true. He’s even more frustrated with by-the-book lawyer Major Olivia Hale. But there’s something simmering beneath her icy reserve–and Ben just can’t resist turning up the heat . . .

. . . and he’s determined to break them

The only thing riskier than mixing business with pleasure is enjoying it . . . and Olivia can’t resist locking horns–and lips–with Ben. He’s got more compassion in his little finger than any commander she’s ever met, a fact that makes him a better leader than he realizes. But when the case that brought them together awakens demons from Olivia’s past, she will have to choose between following orders–or her heart . . .

My review:
This book was good, but…
I had such a hard time getting into it. I had to force myself to read the book on several occasions. It took a long time for the main characters/love interests to get to it. I’m not just talking about sex, I’m talking about them even gelling together and making me feel like their story was worth telling.
Don’t get me wrong, the book is good, it just took a lot of convincing for me to even get into it. Once I did, around the end of the book (literally four chapters from the end) I couldn’t put it down.
I will try another one of her books just because of the last few chapters. This one really didn’t do it for me…
I give the book 2.5 stars
